The Columbia Books of Yarn - many of the books have the same patterns, but there are always a few differences in each one: socks patterns, lots of baby and infant patterns especially bootees. The knitted horse reins for children were very popular as the pattern is in several Columb. books.

Anyone who is interested in historical knitting will enjoy this book, but many of the designs are timeless and just as wearable today. Lovely book!

the only cute item in here is the Child's "leggings"- the rest are rather dated ("opera shawl", "fascinator") does anyone WEAR shawls these days? Men's vests (again, outdated)
Some instructions on stitches, etc- many afghan patterns
for best results: download the .pdf, as that is the only file where all images display- other files do not include images which are necessary for this title
in smartphones use Kindle to save the pdf files to, they do take some time to load so be patient
